Tour of Britain - Updates
The OVO Tour of Britain has now left Carmarthenshire!
What a fantastic experience and welcome from everyone along the route. We’ve had a great day hosting Stage One and the Grand Depart. Thanks everyone for supporting the event – we hope you enjoy the rest of the day wherever you are along the route. Have a safe journey home!
The race has now reached Llandovery
Cyclists are being given a fantastic welcome and cheers ahead of their sprint.
The race has passed through Llangadog and will now head towards Llandovery
The race has arrived at Ffairfach
Cyclists are now making their way towards Bethlehem for the first mountain race of Stage One.
The race has left Llanarthne and is heading towards Llandeilo
Roads around the route are generally clear, our thanks for your cooperation.
There are no further issues at Nantgaredig.
The race has now left Nantgaredig and cyclists are making their way to Llanarthne along the B4300
Cyclists are now heading towards Tanerdy where they will take part in the first sprint
The race has reached Towy Bridge where cyclists are being welcomed with the sight of our giant green bike!
There is a large build-up of traffic around Nantgaredig and the B4300

The race has arrived at Kidwelly
The 2018 Tour of Britain is underway!
Cyclists will now make their way around the new National Closed Road Circuit at Pembrey Country Park before leaving along Factory Road.
Factory Road leading to Pembrey Country Park is now CLOSED to traffic
Walkers and cyclists can still enter the park. Don’t forget you can park and walk/cycle from the Festival Fields in Pwll. Parked cars causing an obstruction on the road may be towed.
The team buses have started to arrive at Pembrey Country Park!
